Ruth Baires Raihle is a native of El Salvador and a graduate of the College of St. Catherine. She is currently the Manager of Counseling and Services at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Minnesota (HCCM). In her current position, Baires focuses on helping the Hispanic community with home ownership counseling, financial literacy and the promotion of education. She is active in a number of community initiatives and serves as community liaison for the Citywide Counseling Advisory Team and the Tri Valley Policy Council. These and other initiatives support the mission of HCCM and further the economic development of the Hispanic community in the Twin Cities.
As the oldest of five and the first to graduate from college, Ruth has a personal commitment to education. She often seeks opportunities to speak about the importance of education for women and multicultural communities, and the need to provide educational resources and to create advancement opportunities.
Ruth’s most recent achievements include the completion of her Master’s degree from Capella University and her second marathon. During her spare time, Ruth enjoys researching thought provoking and sometimes controversial issues, training for upcoming races and helping friends establish exercise routines to help them to lead healthier life styles.
