Dr. Heidi Manning,
Physics Department,
Concordia College, Moorhead

Manning is an experimental physicist whose research career has primarily focused on developing instruments to learn about atmospheres. She has worked at the NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and helped create an instrument that flew on the Cassini mission as well as tested instruments that will be used on the 2009 Mars rover mission.

Manning teaches courses in astrobiology and statistical mechanics/thermal dynamics, including Modern Physics, Women in Science, Cultural implications on space exploration, Intro to Physics, Environmental studies and Astronomy.
