Donald S. Winger, Dean, School of Professional Programs, Program Director, B.S. - Police Science and Industrial Technology, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota

Winger will help organize security at the Republican National Convention taking place this September in St. Paul, MN. He has expertise in the areas of Law Enforcement Administration and Leadership, Criminal Investigation, Community Outreach and Domestic Violence Intervention.  He is an experienced public speaker on local, state and national levels.

Winger was Chief of Police for the City of Maplewood Police Department from 1998 to 2002. Previously, he was a member of the City of Saint Paul Police Department from 1972 to 1998, service as a police officer, sergeant, lieutenant and commander. He is active in his community, volunteering with Merrick County Services and the Saint Paul Domestic Intervention Project.
