"The UPS Foundation and the Foundation for Independent Higher Education (FIHE) have worked together for more than 50 years to provide educational opportunities to deserving students," says Evern Cooper, president of The UPS Foundation and vice president of UPS Corporate Relations. "Partnerships with organizations such as FIHE and its state fund partners enable us to help increase the availability of quality, affordable higher education. UPS is honored to support an issue that is critical to establishing a talented, more diverse workforce."
For over a quarter of a century, UPS has been supporting private college and university students in Minnesota. This year, Ed Gill, vice president of operations for the UPS Minnesota District, presented David B. Laird, Jr., president of the Minnesota Private College Council, Fund and Research Foundation with a check (picture left) that will support seventeen college students as they pursue their higher education goals at our member institutions during the 2003-2004 academic year.
